0

Madison House Autism Foundation’s Co-founders Dr. Gregory and JaLynn Prince recently had the honor of enjoying dinner with the insightful, resilient, and inspiring autism pioneers, Ron and Cornelia Suskind. The Princes were not only impressed by the Suskinds’ vast knowledge in the autism realm but their kindness as well. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Suskind’s book “Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes, and Autism” has received  critical acclaim from respected thinkers and writers alike, including Philip Zimbardo, Ph.D. and Geraldine Brooks. “Life, Animated” reveals the real-life, heart wrenching story of Owen Suskind, Ron and Cornelia’s son on the autism spectrum. Just before Owen’s third birthday, this once seemingly typical child suddenly lost speech, stopped eating and sleeping, and lost receptive language abilities as well. The story details how Ron and Cornelia persevered by using Owen’s love for Disney to communicate with their son.
