Joan Barclay has more than 25 years executive level experience leading the development, growth, and strategy of nonprofit and for-profit organizations. She is highly skilled at solving complex problems and has worked extensively with nonprofit Board of Directors and executive leadership across the healthcare, education, environment, and agriculture sectors.
Prior to her current position as Senior Director at the Pew Charitable Trusts, Joan managed her own consulting firm and provided strategy and program evaluation services to a wide range of clients, including the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, National Geographic, the US Naval Institute, and Public Radio International. Also, during her tenure with Booz Allen, she led major change management initiatives and earlier launched successful new businesses as Vice President for Time Life. Joan has a BS in Economics and an MBA, both from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
